LIFESTYLE PARK

Phnom Penh, Concept 2016

Anchor 1

Landscape, 25 000 sqm

‘The shape of the park is an homage to the Canal de Verneville which existed there previously, it is a way to recall the collective memory of the site.’

The design of the park complements the traditional geometry of the overall linear public space while also creating the possibility of contemporary usages. The shape of the gardens and the pedestrian circulation  systems contrast with that of the original canal, creating a new orientation and possibilities for various uses. Water features give focus to the central spaces, while trees on the edges create a green boundary.
