Angkor Golf Masterplan
Siem Reap, Cambodia, 22 ha, Concept 2016
The masterplan of the golf relates to the Angkorian water system on a territorial scale creating an archipelago, a propitious geography for new developments.
This landscape reuses the main features of the golf such as the refined treatment of the water, the local tree species and topography. Around a driving range, selected retails, restaurants, cultural and recreational spaces will give local customers an alternative to the city centre of Siem Reap. A low-rise development is promoted yet with enough density to be attractive.
‘We envision attractive public spaces inside a green environment,
offering to visitors selected glimpses of the golf land.’
The residential development is defined by a close relationship between the architecture and the natural environment. A homogeneous new district is imagined, with an identity defined by architectural simplicity relating to the bucolic context.
